What are the Runes? The 24 Elder Futhark runes are the oldest known writing system of the Germanic peoples, carrying within them an ancient way of seeing the world. More than letters, they are symbols of natural forces, human experience, and the unfolding patterns of life itself. Through reflection and contemplation, the runes can offer insight, perspective, and guidance at moments of transition and change, inviting us into dialogue with both the world around us and the wisdom that already resides within.Through years of study, practice, and personal experience, I share an approach to the runes that extends beyond interpretation alone. My aim is to help others cultivate their own relationship with these symbols and discover how their wisdom may be applied as tools for reflection, growth, and transformation in daily life.
What happens during Reiki?During a Reiki session, the practitioner serves as a conduit for universal life-force energy, traditionally known as Rei-Ki, allowing it to flow through the hands into the recipient's energetic field. Rather than directing or manipulating the energy, the practitioner maintains a state of presence and receptivity while the energy naturally moves where it is needed. Reiki is understood to support areas of energetic imbalance, stagnation, or depletion, encouraging harmony within the body's subtle energy systems and supporting its innate healing processes. In the tradition established by Mikao Usui, the practitioner does not heal the recipient, but facilitates the conditions through which healing may occur.
